Villähde, 17th October 2018 – City of Luleå has received first Linkker 12+ LE electric lightweight buses for Line 6 Porsön – Kronan. This line will be one of the northern most electric bus lines with operating temperatures below -30C. Luleå is a world wide benchmark for high performance electric bus operation in demanding conditions. The line will be operated with 5 buses and two 400kW charging systems. The fast charging systems are supplied by EkoEnergetyka.
Linkker Intelligent eMobility is higher operational performance – faster reduction of emissions
Linkker is setting the world benchmark for electric bus fleets with a daily mileage of 350km a day in winter and summer conditions. Higher daily mileage reduces transport related emissions faster compared to traditional electric buses which only drive 200km per day and thus contributes more in the fight against global warming.
A strong feature of the Linkker eBuses is its lightweight aluminum structure, energy efficiency and fast charging cycles providing high time table performance. Lithium Titanate Oxide batteries only need between 2-3 minutes of charging. Minimal charging time allows the bus to be up and running again without any delay enabling very high daily mileage and up-to 24 hours of continuous operation.
Passenger experience
Luleå will be one of the northernmost electric bus fleets in the world. The buses are designed to cope with difficult weather conditions from harsh winters to hot summers, they have low noise level, and they offer a safe and comfortable ride resulting high customer satisfaction.
